About
Lillian Gray Scott
Lillian (she/her/hers) is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) and international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She enjoys working with parents and infants who desire to offer human milk through direct breastfeeding/chestfeeding, exclusive pumping, artificial nipples, nasogastric/gastric tube, or a combination of safe infant feeding methods. Lillian strives to foster collaboration between the fields of SLP and IBCLCs through professional education, and interdisciplinary discussions.
Experience
Lillian enjoys working with patients and families who have feeding and swallowing difficulties medically named dysphagia. While completing her master’s degree at Gallaudet University she discovered a passion for swallowing and dysphagia in the pediatric population. Curiosity regarding infant feeding practices in the neonatal intensive care unit, bias in favor of breastfeeding, and wonderful mentors led her to pursue knowledge and skills in lactation. She enjoys working with families in the inpatient and outpatient setting, and completing Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Examinations of Swallowing. She views success as when families meet their infant feeding goals. Lillian strives to foster collaboration between the fields of SLP and IBCLCs through professional education, and interdisciplinary discussions.
